After graduating from the University of Connecticut Advanced Orthodontic Program in 1998 I opened my orthodontic office in Munich in 2002. Since then, me and my team have successfully managed to continuously improve the orthodontic treatment we offer to our patients. Based on our extensive experience with several fixed and removable appliance systems we are able to choose the best appliance and treatment for your special needs.

Helpful Information:
After determining your or your child’s need for orthodontic treatment at a first appointment we will schedule a second appointment to get initial records (X-rays, photographs, dental casts). After that I will write a treatment plan which will be discussed with you in detail. After we have agreed on a treatment plan this will have to be approved by your insurance provider, or, if no insurance coverage can be provided, we will work out a payment plan. Then the treatment can be started. For children in mixed dentitions the treatment will be sometimes started with removable appliances, for at least one year, in order to start bite correction early or to gain space for permanent teeth to come in.

When all permanent teeth are in fixed appliances or aligner are used. Ther average treatment duration with fixed appliances is 2 years. This can vary for an early onset of treatment, adult treatment and/or very difficult cases. Aligner treatment time varies depending also on the difficulty of treatment and the number of aligners that are used. After the fixed appliances have been removed or the aligner treatment ist finished, removable splints or retainers will have to be worn at night for another two years. Furthermore, a fixed retainer wire placed on the upper and lower front teeth is recommendable in most cases.
